Konichiwa! Seeing as I'm in painting and as set we are required to do a blog here's my first blog. I'm into the Japanese pop culture of animation (Anime) and their form of comic books, more commonly known as Manga. So I'm going with Takashi Obaka who is a manga artist. Takashi was born on February 11, 1969 in Niigata, Japan. He works in collaboration with a writer instead of writing his own story. Takashi mentored under Makoto Niwaro, and has mentored several other manga artists. He's most known for
Hikaru no Go and
Death Note. Takashi is rare among manga artists for the details of his drawings and his penchant for fashion. He has also done character design work for the video game "Castlevania Judgment". Takashi is currently working with Tsugumi Uhba on
Bakuman.
